Skinny Smith found out young that he was special -
when he was only eight he discovered he could get his bike up to
27 m.p.h. and the wind would keep him flapping in the breeze -
it would keep him sticking straight out.
It was great fun.
The kids made fun of him until he started winning the bike races.
In college his teacher suggested he use his thin build
to earn a living
as a
kite.
"You could rent yourself out as a kite for twenty a day - easy!
Mayby even $20 an HOUR as a HIGH FLY'IN KITE."
But skinny decided he wanted to become a preacher -
despite his high squeaky voice.
He was greatly encouraged when he read:
I Samuel 14:6
..."nothing restrains the Lord from saving
by many
or
by
few."
He knew this could mean - "JESUS uses the skinny
for mighty things."
Skinny changed his name to S.K.Smith and lived a powerful life in
JESUS
bringing many many blessings into many peoples' lives.
